DRC Fund for incentives

The DRC general assembly held on November 6, 2015 decided to establish DRC Fund for Incentives

This fund will be funded from the budget of DRC into which each full member of DRC contributes 500 € per year as DRC membership fee. 

 

The purpose of the fund is to support the cooperation of DRC members which contributes to achieving the goals of EU Strategy for the Danube region in the priority areas where the universities have a strong position and their participation is exclusively needed.

 

DEADLINE FOR THE APPLICATIONS for 2016 is January 15, 2016.

The Danubius Award was created in 2011 by the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe (IDM) and the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW) with the intention to honor persons with extraordinary achievements in their scientific activity and output in relation to the Danube Region. 2015 this award has been, for the second time, complemented with a specific price for young scientists - the „Danubius Young Scientist Award“.

 

We are especially happy that this year’s Danubius Award was given to former DRC president and DRC honorary president em. Univ.-Prof. DI Dr. DDr. h.c. Leopold März.

The Inter-Municipality Initiative: Cross-border eCollaboration in the Danube eRegion, has been under way since February 2011. A major focus of the initiative is to encourage organizations having interest in any aspect of cross-border eBusiness in the region to engage in a joint Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) based prototype development. A prototype is the beginning of an action leading to a possible joint EU project proposal of an eSolution or an eService development solving a problem shared by the organization in at least three countries.
