The Danube Rectors' Conference (DRC) is a strong network of 56 universities in the Danube Region. Our aim is to improve higher education in teaching and research in, and the advancement of our member universities, by establishing sustainable contacts.

In summary our members benefit from DRC membership through:

  • professional updating during conferences and workshops
  • membership of a "club" - networking. Attendance at Conferences and Workshops supports the establishment of communities of practice in which the members build confidence in each others capabilities
  • integration in the relevant action groups for the Danube Region Strategy (EUSDR). Contribute actively to the actions taken, instead of watching the results from an external perspective!

How to become a DRC member? Eligible members of the DRC are universities in the region and institutions that are recognized by the state or belong to the network of state recognized universities which submit regular applications. The DRC offers eligible universities and institutions the opportunity to join the DRC as an observer/ guest for one year, before becoming a full member. In this year the observers/ guests can participate in the activities of DRC without paying membership fee, etc., but cannot vote on DRC decisions. They can participate in the activities of DRC, pay membership fees, etc., but cannot vote on DRC decisions. Current Membership fee is 500 EURO per year. Download now the application form.
