The challenges facing the Danube Region today call for closer cooperation and joint solutions. As centres of knowledge, innovation, and dialogue, universities have an important role to play in contributing to the region’s long-term development. and in supporting the objectives of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.
Under the topic “Empowerment, Innovation and Prosperity of the Danube Region through University Cooperation”, the DRC Annual Conference 2026 will focus on how academic cooperation can help strengthen the region and create new opportunities for the future.
The conference will be part of the official calendar of this year's EUSDR Presidency in Bulgaria.
Location
The meeting will be held in the campus of the University of Ruse. The halls will be indicated later in the agenda.
