Prof. Vesković received Danubius Award

The Danubius Award is intended to honour persons with extraordinary achievements in their scientific activities in relation to the Danube Region.  This year our former DRC President Prof. Dr Miroslav Vesković received the Danubius Award. Founder of this award are the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research (BMWF).

The award ceremony took place on Tuesday, 14 May 2013 in Vienna. Prof. Dr Miroslav Vesković is Rector of the University of Novi Sad and EUSDR PA7 Coordinator. He is full-professor of Nuclear Physics at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences, Vice president of KONUS (Conference of Universities of Serbia), permanent member of the ISOLDE Collaboration, CERN and member of the European Physics Education Network, Former President of the Serbian Physics Society, Former Vice Rector for Science and International Relations at the University of Novi Sad, Former Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, and Former Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.
