HEInnovate Bucharest 2015

The workshop will take place in Bucharest, Romania, during 13-14 March 2015, at the Haus der Donau
 

WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF A HEINNOVATE WORKSHOP?

  • Raise awareness;
  • Provide HEIs with an opportunity to become familiar with the HEInnovate tool and methodology;
  • Share examples of successful innovative approaches and entrepreneurial objectives;
  • Get yourself familiar with HEInnovate on and undertake a self-assessment;
  • Foster internal debate and setting up of a university strategy;
  • Build strategic partnerships among institutions.


WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

  • University leaders and members of the governing boards (rectors, vice-rectors, deans, heads of departments or degree courses);
  • Scholars and researchers representing the field of entrepreneurial education and higher education institutions;
  • Administrative staff working at entrepreneurship centres, career centres, technology transfer units and innovation centres;
  • University stakeholders and partners that work directly with universities in supporting entrepreneurship.


WHAT ARE THE WORKSHOP TOPICS?

The workshop is customizable and can address all relevant topics as long as they are covered by the seven dimensions of the HEInnovate model. Some suggested topics are internationalisation strategies; leadership and institutional change (strategy and governance, resources and infrastructure, recruitment, human resource development and incentives); new business creationpractices in higher education; teaching and learning.

WHAT IS A POSSIBLE FORMAT?

Over half a day/one day workshop, different sessions can be organised more or less interactive referring to areas of importance to the development and support of an entrepreneurial HEI and to the HEInnovate tool.


It can include key note presentations on the importance of entrepreneurship in education or experts providing different perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurial HEIs.


Hand-on sessions can also be offered on how to use HEInnovate and to make the best use out of it.

Facilitated workshops with international experts provide advice and information as well as exchange of experiences and practices. In detail, a HEInnovate workshop can include but not exclusively:

 

  • Inspirational key-note from an expert in entrepreneurship;
  • Policy background and landscape presentations;
  • Round table debate on and about entrepreneurial education;
  • Overview and demonstration of HEInnovate;
  • Presentation of the historical background and development of the tool;

 

There is no registration fee (all costs are covered by the DRC ) but every participant should support the costs concerning the accommodation, transportation and meals.
